Dr. V. Ajayakumar, is a Master of Engineering in Computer Science . His Ph.D. is in the area
of Management Information Systems . He has more than 20 years’ experience as teacher
in Computer Science at TKM Engineering College ,Kollam, Kerala . Moreover, Dr. Ajayakumar
has got nearly ten years’ experience as Director Computer Centre, University of Kerala in the
scale of pay and status of AICTE Professor. He received Kerala State Government IT award-2008
for the best e-Governance Leader for having given inspirational leadership for implementing e-
Governance in University of Kerala. He designed and implemented SAGE ( System for
Automated Governance of Examinations )and SWEET (System for Web-
enabled Exam Transactions) which facilitate on-line transactions between affiliated
colleges and University office. Under the leadership of Dr. Ajayakumar, University has become
the first and the only university in the state at present to implement fully paperless online-
registration to all semester examinations with e-payment facilities.

He has also designed and implemented a system for Anytime Exam information for university of
Kerala using which complete result details of any past or present student of this century can be
obtained at any instant on internet, a facility which is provided for the first time among Indian
Universities. Recruiting agencies can verify the genuineness of University degrees using this
facility . All the exam-related transactions between 165 affiliated colleges and Kerala University
office have been made paperless and currency less.

Dr. Ajayakumar has served as Member Syndicate , Cochin University of Science and Technology
He has served as Chairman/Member , Board of Studies in Computer Science of both PG and
UG for four consecutive terms . He served as member of Faculty of Engineering, University of
Kerala for two terms. He is a Member, Technical Committee , Kerala Public Service Commission
Dr. Ajayakumar has authored more than 20 research papers and one book on e-Governance.
He has also published about 80 articles in popular vernacular publications
